Justin Liles: Milder air to hang around

November 29th: Mild weather continues

Mild weather continues

It isn’t often we can say there just isn’t anything happening in the weather department. Unlike last year when winter never wanted to end, this year winter doesn’t want to start. Our ground is bare, there is open water on a lot of lakes, the only snow we are really seeing comes from a piece of machinery on local ski hills. Once again, our temperatures were well above average today.

Most of the region had highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s today. Our warmer trend will likely see temperatures for most of the region stay some 5-10° above average. Winds might start to get a little breezy on Thursday. However, a few more clouds are possible in Northern Wisconsin. Our next chance of snow doesn’t arrive until Sunday.

It does appear at this time most of the snow will stay to our south. Another chance of light snow returns next Tuesday with a passing clipper. With both of these systems, not much snow is expected.
