Justin Liles: Cloudy with a lake breeze

It feels quite warm around the Northland. It’s amazing how things can feel when the wind isn’t blowing your face off and the temperatures are more seasonal. Temperatures will continue to feel cooler by the lake over the next several days due to on shore flow and a lake breeze. Reading farther inland away from the lake will be much warmer.

Tonight begins our parade of on again and off again rain showers through the weekend. Any rain that falls near the lake will likely cool the air down enough for some fog to develop for shoreline communities. Saturday looks to be the rainiest and coolest day to come. Most rain looks to fall south of the Twin Ports through east central Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. Winds will also be rather breezy for the next several days. Scattered rain looks to continue into the new workweek. Skies look to improve by the start of the Minnesota fishing opener.
