Justin Liles: A perfect weekend is coming

We don’t get to say this very often in the Storm Track Weather Center, but this might be one of the easiest forecasts we’ve had in quite some time. It just so happens to be the perfect timing for a perfect weather as we head into a holiday weekend. Temperatures are likely going to stay in the mid to upper 70s for most of the Northland with some stray 80s possible farther west. Skies are going to see very little rain during this time frame too.

High pressure will set right over northern Minnesota all weekend long. Winds will fluctuate and sometimes come in off the lake but they won’t be strong enough to push far enough inland. It’s just always a good idea to bring a light jacket along if visiting the shoreline of Lake Superior. Showers will try to return by Tuesday and Wednesday. Have a great holiday weekend and stay safe.
