It’s a frigid start to our Friday with air temps ranging from minus single digits to minus 20s heading out the door. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect in northern Minnesota until 9 am. Kids at the bus stop will need to be properly bundled up. It shapes up to be a cool and quiet Friday with sunshine and highs in upper single digits to mid-teens. A quick round of light snow sweeps the Northland from southwest to northeast in the late evening and overnight with a widespread dusting to an inch. Saturday will be a mix of clouds and sun with breezy southwest winds sending milder conditions our way. Highs range from mid-teens to mid-20s.

Sunday will continue the quiet and slight warming trend. Our next widespread chance of precipitation arrives Sunday night and lasts through Monday. This round may involve a mix of snow, rain, and freezing rain, particularly south of the Twin Ports. Widespread plowable snow is possible at this time, but accumulation potential will depend on exact storm track and precipitation types.
