The next several days will be rather similar with mild temperatures, mostly cloudy skies, and a few light rain showers in the Northland. Change comes Wednesday night into Thursday when a strong cold front passes. This brings more widespread rain chances on Wednesday and much cooler air by Thursday. Northern communities could see snowflakes mix in with lingering showers Thursday morning, but surface temps above freezing would keep any snow that falls from sticking.

Highs on Thursday will be knocked into the 40s across the region. Friday will be similarly chilly, then a warming trend brings us closer to average through the weekend. With the cold on the horizon, enjoy highs in 60s to low 70s today, tomorrow and Wednesday.
