Temps will return to the 50s today for the first time in a full week! We’re finally returning to seasonable conditions. The day begins with sunshine, then high cloud cover moves into the region from the north going into the afternoon. As the warming trend continues, we can enjoy a night above freezing with lows in mid-30s to low 40s. Friday closes out the week with mostly sunny skies and comfortable temps topping off in upper 50s to low 60s.

Saturday features thicker cloud cover and a breezy east wind that keeps the North Shore in the 50s. Meanwhile, areas generally south of U.S. Highway 2 will rise to mid and upper 60s. The warmth peaks on Sunday with highs in mid-60s to mid-70s. A breezy southeast wind will keep cooler conditions focused along the North Shore.

Sunday afternoon brings a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms, but the wetter period with potentially strong thunderstorms will be Sunday night into Monday as a potent area of low pressure moves across the region. This system will also bring strong winds. Showers linger during the day Monday as colder air is driven into the Northland behind a cold front.
