A wet stretch of weather begins today continues the rest of the week, eventually becoming snowy. Our Tuesday begins with relatively mild temps in the mid-30s, then afternoon highs reach low to mid-40s. Skies are cloudy with scattered showers arriving in the late afternoon and evening. Occasional rain will be with us through tonight, Wednesday, Wednesday night, and Thursday.

Thursday is when rain begins to turn to snow, bringing the potential for ice accumulation and heavy snow accumulation to parts of the Northland. This period is also accompanied by high winds. These potential travel impacts have placed much of northern Minnesota in a Winter Storm Watch from 6 am Thursday to 6 am Saturday. Snow chances focus along the South Shore of Lake Superior Friday night and Saturday.
