An active weather week lies ahead. Our Monday features an early morning round of snow that may have brought a quick dusting to northern roads. Strong west northwest winds overnight have spilled into this morning, keeping a Wind Advisory in effect for the North Shore of Lake and Cook Co. until 8 am. Winds here may gust as high as 50 mph. Winds improve through the morning and into the afternoon. Highs range from mid-30s to low 40s under a mix of clouds and sun.

A round of light snow will try and sweep northern Minnesota tonight. Widespread showers arrive Tuesday afternoon. This begins a wet stretch with occasional showers possible into Thursday. A more impactful weather system will arrive Thursday into Friday with rain changing to snow from the northwest.
