The workweek begins with a couple of systems rolling through bringing quick rounds of snow chances and keeping temps on the cool side of average. A quieter stretch and warming trend take us through the end of the week, then we stay milder for the weekend with a slight chance for snow.

Our Monday features a cold front swinging in from the north that will bring light snow from the international border to the Iron Range in the morning and early afternoon. Winds will be a touch breezy out of the northwest behind the front, and highs range from upper teens north to mid-20s south across the Northland.

Tuesday sends a round of snow across north central and northeast Minnesota in the morning with enough sticking to bring slick roads. Around 1-2” is possible generally near and north of U.S. Hwy 2. Amounts drop to less than an inch around the Head of Lake Superior. Much of east central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin may stay dry altogether from this round.

Wednesday brings another round of snow, this time with the Twin Ports on the northern edge of light snow accumulation. 1-2” are possible from the Brainerd Lakes area to Ashland and south toward Siren and Hayward. Amounts drop off going north with a dusting possible across the Iron Range.
