It’s a warm and muggy day with highs in the mid-80s and dew points in mid-60s to low 70s. The warmth and moisture will fuel isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening that will be hit-or-miss in nature. Should storms develop, some may produce 1” hail and 60 mph winds.

A cold front sweeps from north to south overnight with a more scattered round of showers and thunderstorms. Lows are once again mild in upper 50s to mid-60s. Cooler air begins moving into the region behind the front, but highs will still reach low to mid-80s on Thursday with a north northwest wind spreading the warmth down the hill in the Twin Ports. High pressure to our north will help keep cloud cover to a minimal.

Quiet conditions cooperate nicely with your outdoor plans Thursday through Saturday. Highs on Friday will still manage upper 70s to low 80s for inland areas while a breezy east wind keeps shorelines cooler. A lighter east wind lingers Saturday while highs in upper 70s to low 80s continue out of the reach of the lake. Sunday features highs in the 70s and isolated thunderstorms. Overall, a dry forecast will offer very little in terms of relief from the drought.
