Senate bill includes $3 million for the 148th Fighter Wing

Bill Could Fund 148th Fighter Wing Hangar

Senator Hauschild announced that the Senate Capital Investment Bill includes $3 million for the 148th Fighter Wing. If the bill passes, they will use the money to build a new hangar.

“We are proud to have the men and women of the 148th Fighter Wing right here in the Northland because we know how important they are to our state and national security,” said Senator Hauschild. “Ensuring the long-term viability of the 148th Air National Guard Base is a top priority for me, which is why I have fought to include funding for their much-needed hangar upgrades since entering the State Senate. I proud to say that we have secured the first round of funding in this year’s bonding bill, now we must push for a strong bipartisan vote to deliver it.”

The Chamber of Commerce served as the lead advocate for the project because the Military is unable to formally advocate for themselves.
