Tonight will be partly cloudy with overnight lows in the single digits to teens. Monday is the spring equinox, but it will not quite feel like it. A weak cold front will pass through in the morning. Afternoon highs will be in the upper twenties to low thirties.

Old Man Winter is not done with us yet- snow chances return Tuesday. Snow will enter the region in the late afternoon to early evening hours. The heaviest snowfall will be early Wednesday morning. This system will be brief, exiting midday Wednesday.

With potential for rain to mix in on Wednesday, there are some uncertainties with snowfall amounts. Koochiching and Itasca Counties as well as the North Shore will likely have 4-6 inches of snow. With a strong easterly wind, portions of the North Shore could exceed six inches of snowfall.

Accumulations stretching from the U.P. through northern Wisconsin and towards Brainerd will be closer to 1-3 inches as warmer temperatures lead to a greater chance of rain.

The good news is that the chances of snow for Thursday and Friday have decreased as the track for both of those systems has continued to shift south.
