Sabrina Ullman: Sunny Saturday, heavy rain possible Sunday night

Today will be sunny and warm, with afternoon highs mostly in the mid to upper eighties. Dew points will be in the fifties, so although the temperatures will be warmer than they have been all week, it will be a dry, comfortable heat.

A few passing showers are possible Saturday night into Sunday morning, but most of the Northland will stay dry until Sunday night. 

Rain will begin Sunday morning, staying towards Lake of the Woods, Koochiching, and St. Louis Counties until the afternoon. The rest of the Northland will have rain starting in the early evening.

A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday

A slight chance of showers after 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy, with a southeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday
