Pleasant weather will continue tonight through Monday night. Overnight lows will be in the teens to low twenties. By the end of the week, afternoon highs will be close to tonight’s lows.

Monday will be mostly sunny with afternoon highs close to 40 degrees. Tuesday will have similar temperatures, but our dry streak will come to an end.

A low-pressure system will enter our region on Tuesday, bringing rain Tuesday afternoon. For northern Wisconsin and the I-35 corridor, the precipitation type will be primarily rain until early Wednesday morning. Northern Minnesota will see a transition to snow sooner.

Because of the earlier transition to snow, areas north of the Iron Range will have 3-6″ whereas most of the Northland will have 1-3″ Tuesday night until Thursday morning. These totals could change, as we get closer to Tuesday. The Storm Track Weather Team will continue providing updates.

These totals do not include lake-effect snow on the South Shore that will occur Thursday and Friday morning. Both days will be cooler, but temperatures will improve next weekend.
