Justin Liles: We’re all under a Freeze Warning

Another frosty night is likely across the Northland tonight. The entire region is under a Freeze Warning until 8am Wednesday morning. As for communities right by the lake, temperatures will be cold enough for frost but the warmer waters of Lake Superior should keep us warmer.

If you are worried about your plant life, take the steps necessary to protect your plants. Temperatures will gradually warm up as we continue through the week. We should see plenty of sunshine too. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s by this weekend.

Tonight: Widespread frost, mainly after 4am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 33. North wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday: Widespread frost, mainly before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 56. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Breezy, with a south wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 66. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
