Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories continue until 6 PM this evening. Snow will gradually taper off this afternoon and evening, except for lake-effect snow areas of northwest Wisconsin where light snow will continue through Thursday.

Given the very slow moving occluded system and wrap around moisture, snow will continue through this evening across northeast Minnesota where it is currently snowing, and likely into at least Thursday morning for northwest Wisconsin. Winds will likely weaken Thursday and remain calm through the weekend. Drier air start to roll back in by the end of the week and into the weekend too. We should see sunshine to go along with our lighter winds.
