Justin Liles: Lingering snow this week

Lake effect snow will continue through the rest of the evening as winds continue to be off the lake. This will impact the head of the lake, higher terrain north shore, and along the south shore. We have officially climber over 100” of snowfall for the year. We’ll have more chances this week too. Some light snow is possible Wednesday into Thursday.

Another round of heavier snow will arrive Thursday night into Friday. Winds will also pick up at this time too and create some difficult travel late Thursday through Friday. Once again, this arrives during the Minnesota State Boys Hockey Tournament. Travel to the games Wednesday and Thursday will be ok, but any semi-final games Friday will be tough getting too. Light snow along with breezy conditions will continue through the weekend. The good news is temperatures look to stay warm and mild over the next week. The bad news! Any snow is likely going to be a heavy snow.
