Justin Liles: Light snow, clearing late

It looks like we have a couple of weak pieces of energy that may create a few chances of at some precipitation. The first round came through early this morning. We may get a small chance of freezing drizzle late Wednesday night into Thursday. There is shallow layer about 1000ft that could hold enough moisture to create this freezing drizzle. If we don’t see any freezing drizzle we may see heavy dense fog. Especially near the lake.

This freezing drizzle may result in very light ice accumulations and some minor holiday travel impacts. Make sure to use reduced speed when driving on snow and/or ice covered roads! The worst of this travel looks to be early in the morning Thursday. Temperatures rebound and along with sunshine by the end of the week. The end of the week and into the weekend may see temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
