Skies will continue to remain clear tonight and Friday. Southerly winds will likely take over tonight and Friday. A good stream of moisture will return as well making for a hot and humid day around the region. Most of the Northland will see temperatures climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s. Beginning Friday night, a cool front is set to return and move at a snail’s pace through the weekend. This means we will likely see a wet weekend.

Showers and thunderstorms take over Friday night and go through Sunday. Most of the heavier rain will stay south of HWY 2 in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Stronger storms are possible Saturday and Sunday in Northern Wisconsin. Heavy rain, lightning, hail, and damaging winds will be the biggest threats. There is even a chance of seeing some localized flooding. Drier conditions and sunshine return to start the new work week.
