Justin Liles: A snowy start to the week

We are looking at a snowy start to the week. Especially for shoreline communities along the north shore. Lake and Cook Counties will likely see anywhere from 8-12” of snow. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Lake and Cook Counties until 6 PM Tuesday. Southern Cook County is under a Winter Storm Warning. Snow totals will decrease farther south along the North Shore.

Despite snowfall being light for most locations, colder temperatures below 32° may result in slippery road conditions. The next few days could see some slick travel around the region but more along the North Shore. Colder air returns this week along with overnight lows in the single digits.
