Justin Liles: A few chances at light snow this week.
Several clippers will bring light snow to the Northland this week. Accumulations should be light overall. Colder temperatures will arrive late this week. Tuesday through Friday night will see two more fast-moving low pressure systems move through the region. Lake-effect snow showers may persist over northern portions of Bayfield, Ashland, and Iron counties Tuesday morning. Attention then shifts to the next clipper, expected to arrive late Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday evening.
The next round Tuesday looks to be lacking a ton of moisture, but the parts of the Arrowhead may see up to 2” of new snow. Light snow looks to linger through Wednesday and part of Thursday too. A second clipper arrives by the end of the week. For now, it looks like there is a decent chance of at least some snowfall Thursday night through Friday night, with the highest confidence during the day on Friday. Amounts, however, are far less certain but generally appear to be in the 1 to 3 inch range.
