A slow moving low to our north will continue to influence our weather today, tonight and tomorrow. Waves of energy spinning around the system will lead to occasional showers and thunderstorms through this period, particularly in the afternoon and evening. The wettest conditions will be near the international border where total accumulation near 0.5” is possible through Thursday. Amounts decrease moving south toward U.S. Highway 2. The Twin Ports area and south will generally receive near 0.1” or less.

Other effects of the low include breezy west northwest winds and below normal temperatures. Highs range from low to upper 70s today. Lows drop into low to mid-50s overnight with a few showers lingering. The cool conditions peak on Thursday with highs mostly in the 60s, then a warming trend kicks in to bring widespread 80s by Saturday. Sunshine abounds Friday and Saturday, then rain chances return Sunday evening and night.
