The fall feeling has arrived and it’s sticking around. Colder air takes over the region today on a breezy northwest wind sustained near 15 mph and gusting around 30 mph. Highs stay in low 50s to low 60s looking north to south. Clouds increase from the north through the morning and afternoon with spotty sprinkles.

Broken cloud cover and a few light rain showers spill into the overnight hours, then high pressure moving in from the west clears skies and allows for a frosty morning. Our typical cold spots will be flirting with freezing with temps falling to low 30s to low 40s. Thursday is then cool and clear with highs staying mostly in the 50s. Another frosty night will then unfold with the 30s extending across more of northwest Wisconsin this time.

Cloud cover returns from the west on Friday along with light rain by the evening. Friday night into Saturday morning will feature widespread showers. We will then enter an unsettled weather pattern that will keep hit-or-miss showers possible Sunday and Monday. Temperatures remain near to below normal through the start of next week.
