Brandon Weatherz: Beautiful start to the week

There’s a crispness to the air as we begin our Monday. Early morning temps range from mid-30s to mid-40s with frost to scrape off the windshield in some northern communities. Temps will be on the rise into the afternoon with highs ranging from upper 70s near International Falls to upper 60s near Ironwood. We look east for the cooler conditions because they’re the closest to an area of low pressure near Lake Michigan. That low is responsible for clouds reaching across northwest Wisconsin this morning. High pressure moving in from the west will allow sunshine to take over across the region for a beautiful start to the week.

Temps stay above Frost Advisory territory tonight with lows ranging from low near 40 to near 50 under mostly clear skies. Tuesday will be another sunny day, but temps will be influenced by a weak cold front. Highs range from mid-60s near the international border to upper 70s from Hinckley to Hayward. Wednesday will be cooler with a breezy east wind and a mix of clouds and sun. Rain chances hold off until Wednesday night, then we’ll have several opportunities for rain Thursday through the weekend.
