Brandon Weatherz: Warmer for the weekend with rain chances

A fantastic Friday lies ahead. Sunshine abounds and temperatures get a boost, reaching upper 70s to low 80s. Temps fall into mid-50s to low 60s tonight with cloud cover increasing ahead of rain chances from the west. Scattered showers and thunderstorms sweep the Northland Saturday morning. After that round, our Saturday will have times of sun, a breezy south wind, and highs ranging from mid-70s to low 80s. Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible in the evening, and this round may be include strong to severe storms capable of hail and strong winds. Heavy rain and locally high rain totals will also be possible.

Sunday will be breezy and warm with highs in upper 70s to mid-80s. We look to stay on the dry side during the day, then shower and thunderstorm chances return Sunday night. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Monday, then a sunny and seasonable stretch will be with us through the week thereafter.
