It’s another warm day with highs in low to mid-80s for much of the region. A cold front draped across the international border will gradually slide southward through tomorrow. An isolated thunderstorm is possible in the late afternoon and evening, generally along and north of U.S. Hwy 2. The better chance for rain this evening and overnight will be over far northern Minnesota. Storms are not expected to be severe, but heavy rain and high localized rain totals will be possible.

Wednesday will feature more widespread rain chances as the slow moving front begins to sag south of the Lake Superior area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the day. The front, cloud cover, and rain will make for a much cooler day Wednesday. Highs range from mid-60s north to near 80 south. A cool lake breeze returns to keep shoreline communities in the 60s. A dry stretch is expected Thursday and Friday, then rain chances return with a more active weather pattern through the weekend.
