Warroad’s Jayson Shaugabay is AP boys hockey Player of Year

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Warroad forward Jayson Shaugabay is the 2023 Minnesota Associated Press Player of the Year for high school boys hockey. Shaugabay ended his career as the all-time leading scorer in Warroad program history. He had 33 goals and a state-leading 63 assists this season. The Warriors lost in the Class 1A state championship game to Mahtomedi.
