UWS softball drops NCAA tournament game two against Luther College, three players gain NFCA honors

The University of Wisconsin Superior (UWS) softball team fell on Friday in game two of their NCAA tournament run against Luther University 8-2.

The team finishes out the 2023 campaign with a record of 31-13.

Three players however earned 2023 All-Region honors announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Senior pitcher/infielder Tayler Kraemer and sophomore catcher/infielder Zoe Thomson were both named All-Region 9 first team.

Freshman outfielder Mykenzie Leccia was named All-Region 9 third team.

It’s the first time earning NFCA All-Region honors for all three Yellowjackets.
