At the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) three Yellowjackets earned weekly honors from the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) or Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

Freshmen Charlotte Ferstl was named the UMAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, and Simone Stephens was the UMAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Friday Ferstly secured her third double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 70 percent from the field. She added 21 points on Saturday.

Stephens ran a lifetime personal-best at the Maverick Invite with a UMAC leading mile time of 5:19.77.

Additionally, Rose Beeman was named the WIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week. The goalie made 55 saves posting back-to-back shutouts over the weekend.
