UMD’s Taytum Rhoades named NSIC Assistant Commissioner for Operations

She tipped off five seasons with the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball team, helping them to the NCAA DII National Championship game in 2023, and now Taytum Rhoades is becoming a top dog for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).

On Friday the NSIC named Rhoades their next Assistant Commissioner for Operations. She will officially take over on June 24th.

NSIC Commissioner Erin Lind said Rhoades stood out, in part, for her engagement with UMD’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on campus and with the conference.

While at UMD, she scored 966 points over 142 games helping the Bulldogs to three NSIC tournament championships.
