UMD’s Olson named WBCA player of the year, Bell named first team All-American

The University of Minnesota Duluth women’s basketball team is off to the Elite Eight in the NCAA DII tournament thanks to the work of Brooke Olson.

Averaging 23 points a game she was named 2023 WBCA NCAA Division II Player of the Year.

Olson was also named WBCA NCAA DII Coaches’ All-American Team, marking the first ever WBCA Player of the Year at UMD.

On the Ice fifth year defender Ashton Bell was named CCM/AHCA Women’s DI All-American.

Bell becomes the third Bulldog to claim the award twice in her career.
