This marks the first time in school history the Bulldogs will host a Regional between either the women’s and men’s programs at Romano Gym. It will also be the UMD women’s fifth straight tournament trip.
The UMD men’s basketball team was placed at No. 6 in their Central Regional and will take on No. 3 seeded Central Oklahoma on Saturday. Tip-off is set for Noon in Maryville, Missouri.
This mark’s their second straight national tournament berth after making it to March Madness last season for the first time since 2003.
