UMD women’s hockey Hughes makes U.S. National team

University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Women’s hockey graduate senior Gabbie Hughes was selected on Saturday to represent the United States at the 2023 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship.
Hughes was one of 25 total players selected to the team, which also marks Hughes’ first ever IIHF event debut.
The tournament is only a few days away scheduled to take place April 5th through 16th in Brampton, Ontario.
First game for the Americans is against Japan at 2:00 p.m. This Wednesday.
