UMD women’s hockey drops a spot in USCHO poll, Bell named Defender of Week

After beating and tying the University of St. Thomas over the weekend, the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team slipped one spot to number eight in the latest USCHO.com poll.

Additionally, Ashton Bell earned Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Defender of the Week honors for the second time this season.

The fifth year senior scored twice Friday in a four point game, adding an assist on Saturday.

Now 13-6-1 the Bulldogs are off until Saturday, January 7 when they visit the Wisconsin Badgers.
