UMD men’s, women’s basketball teams dismantle Augustana

UMD men’s, women’s business takes care of business against Augustana

Both UMD men's and women's basketball teams beat Augustana on Sunday by substantial margins.

Both the #13 UMD men’s team and the #20 UMD women’s basketball teams were on fire inside Romano Gymnasium on Sunday, as the men beat Augustana 92-65 while the women also beat Augustana, 82-68.

For the men, they had six scorers in double figures, including Jack Middleton and Austin Andrews, who both scored 14 points.

The Bulldogs as a whole shot 56% from the field, compared to Augustana’s 40%.

Another major component was the Bulldogs percentage from deep, as they shot 52% from behind the arc.

On the women’s side, it was Madelyn Granica who lead the team with 22 points, as she continues her dominant stretch, scoring 56 points in her last three games.

Similar to the men, the women seemingly were automatic from the field, shooting a crisp 49%.

Both teams will take on Sioux Falls on Friday and Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday.
