UMD men’s hockey takes No.1 Denver to overtime

The University of Minnesota Duluth men’s hockey team was at Amsoil Arena on Friday, hosting No.1 ranked Denver Pioneers.

UMD got the start they were looking for as Dominic James opened the scoring on the powerplay.

The Bulldogs powerplay was clicking in the game as they took a 2-0 lead with another extra man tally from Ben Steeves.

Denver tied the game at 2-2, and won it in overtime by the final of 3-2.

Denver outshot UMD 33-25 in the game, rematch is tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.
