UMD men’s hockey falls out of top 20, first time since 2016

For the first time since the 2016 season, the University of Minnesota Duluth men’s hockey team has not been ranked in the weekly USCHO polls.

Falling out of the top 20 after being placed in it the past 154 polls. The team is coming off a weekend split against Omaha.

The women’s team stayed at No.7 for the time being, while sophomore Owen Gallatin was named the defenseman of the week by the NCHC Conference on Monday.

Graduate senior Maggie Flaherty was named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s (WCHA) defender of the week as well on Monday.
