UMD men’s basketball tops UWS in exhibition match

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) and the University of Wisconsin Superior (UWS) men’s basketball teams opened up this season with an exhibition match at Romano Gym.

UMD came away with a 102-64 victory, outscoring the Yellowjackets 56-20 in the first half.

Josef Fahrenholtz lead the way for UWS with 22 points on the night.

Drew Blair took control for the Bulldogs with a total of 27 points.

UMD’s next and final exhibition game will be against the DI opponent of Drake University, Thursday on the road at 7:00 p.m.

The Yellowjackets final exhibition match will be against the College of Saint Scholastica at home next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
