UMD baseball splits home doubleheader with UMary

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) baseball team split their final doubleheader of the 2024 regular season with the University of Mary (UMary) Friday at Wade Stadium. The Bulldogs took game one 4-1, then dropped game two 7-2.

In game one, Trevor Gustafson led the Bulldogs with one run, three hits and two RBI. Jack Nemetz added one run, one hit and one RBI.

In game two, UMD was led by Jack Puder with one hit, one run and one RBI, and Oran Hinkle with one hit and one RBI.

The Bulldogs now sit 17-31 overall and 13-26 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play. Their regular season finale is against UMary Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Wade Stadium. That is also Senior Day for UMD.
