Summer hockey opportunities continue to expand in the Northland.

After eight years the Twin Ports Pro Development Camp (TPPDC) is returning to Superior with the addition of a new Mite age group.

It’s open to 6U and 8U boys and girls and costs $90 per-skater.

TPPDC owner and head instructor Brett Olson said they wanted to expand their demographic because the camp is a great space to learn the fundamentals of hockey.

“Those kids at that age really love to play the game of hockey, so getting them as much ice time as possible is great.” Olson added, “it’s good to get your edge work back and your hands. That leads into our older groups that we have, the 10U, 12U, 14U as well.”

As usual the camp will feature local celebrity instructors. This year they’re welcoming back former University of Minnesota Duluth men’s hockey goalie Ben Patt, plus Bulldog commit and Hermantown native Aaron Pionk.

The Twin Ports Pro Development Camp runs July 31-August 3, 2023 and has moved to Wessman Arena due to scheduling conflicts at it’s usual home of the Superior Ice Arena. To register, or for more information, Click Here.
