Premier Hockey Federation doubling salary cap for 2023-2024 season

The Premier Hockey Federation has announced it will be doubling the salary cap for all seven of its teams to $1.5 million starting in the 2023-24 season.

Minnesota Whitecap’s captain and University of Duluth Minnesota alum Sydney Brodt shared what this means for the advancement of women’s professional hockey. “It’s just so exciting to see the growth for women’s hockey because I think everyone knows how hard we all work and what we deserve; so it was really cool to have that day and for people just to be excited about it.”

This marks the third annual salary cap increase for The Premier Hockey Federation and represents 900 percent of growth since 2021 when the salary cap was just $150,000.
