Superior volleyball hands Hermantown first loss in 5 set thriller

The Superior volleyball team would emerge victorious on their home court Tuesday in a five set thriller with then-unbeaten Hermantown.
The Spartans would earn the 3-2 win handing the Hawks their first loss.
Hermantown took set one 25-22, with Superior taking set two 25-16. Set three went to the Hawks 25-22, and the Spartans rebounded in set four 26-24. Finally Superior claimed set five 15-11.
Superior improves to 12-5 and next hosts Hibbing Tuesday at 7 p.m. Hermantown (6-1) next visits Duluth Denfeld Thursday at 7 p.m.
