Seven run 6th inning lifts UWS baseball to first victory over CSS since 2019

The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) baseball team scored seven runs in the sixth inning lifting them to a 12-6 victory over the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) at Wade Stadium on Monday. The victory marked UWS’ first border battle win over the Saints since 2019. CSS won their meeting last Wednesday 14-4 in Duluth.

The Yellowjackets were led by Wylee Lottman with three runs, four hits and three RBI, and Wylee Arro with one run, two hits and two RBI. The Saints were led by Adam Braun with four hits and two RBI, and Kyle Oswald with one run, two hits and two RBI. For the full box score, Click here.

UWS (19-15) next hosts Bethany Lutheran Friday at 3 p.m.

CSS (20-14) will hit the road for the remainder of their regular season. Next they visit Bethel University for a doubleheader Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. in St. Paul.
