Saints softball battles hard but drops doubleheader to No. 17 Saint Benedict

The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) softball team suffered a tough doubleheader sweep to No. 17 Saint Benedict College Tuesday in Duluth.
The Saints fell 4-3 in a close game one then dropped game two 9-1.
Lauren Laviano hit a solo home run for CSS in game one, while Aislind Dail record their sole RBI in game two.
CSS falls to 12-14 on the season and 2-8 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play. They’re set to host Carleton in another MIAC doubleheader Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at Saints Field.
