Ryan Sandelin signs AHL deal with Colorado

Hermantown native Ryan Sandelin, son of University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey head coach Scott Sandelin signed a two-year American Hockey League contract with the Colorado Eagles on Monday.

The Eages are currently the Minor league affiliate of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, who are the defending Stanley Cup champions.

The deal begins this year and runs through the 2023-24 season. Where he will join a former high school and college teammate Wyatt Aamodt

Sandelin finished his Minnesota State-Mankato career with 43 goals and 33 assists.
