Proctor softball grinds out 1-0 win in defensive battle

The Proctor softball team has extended their undefeated season to a 5-0 record, thanks to a 1-0 win against Cambridge-Isanti on Saturday.

The lone run came in the bottom of the first inning, when Kaytlyn Hemming drove in Samantha Shelton.

After that, both teams were interlocked in a defensive battle, but Proctor would squeeze out the win.

The Rails next take on Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin on Monday.
