Proctor native, CSS alum Cory Lonke hired as Mavericks’ goalie coach

Proctor native, and former College of St. Scholastica (CSS) goalie, Cory Lonke has been hired as the Minnesota State University, Mankato men’s hockey team’s next goalie coach.

He spent last season as a United States Hockey League (USHL) goalie coach for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Lonke also spent time coaching in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) as the Austin Bruins goalie coach (2020-2021) and as the Minot Minotauros assistant coach (2011-2017).

Additionally he’s coached at the high school level with a stint as head coach of New Prague and an assistant at Shakopee.

Lonke played goalie for CSS from 2001-2003 graduating in 2006.
