Prep Soccer: CEC holds off Duluth Marshall, Doyle scores four lifting Denfeld past Two Harbors

Storms on Tuesday postponed a handful of Northland high school soccer games to Wednesday.

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC) boys soccer picked up a close road win taking down Duluth Marshall 4-3. Elijah Aultman scored a hat-trick for the Lumberjacks with Anders Gunelson adding one goal. Scoring for Marshall was Denzel Majwega with two goals and Briar Mrozik with one.

Next CEC (3-2) visits Hermantown Thursday, and the Hilltoppers (2-3) visit Spectrum Saturday.

At home the Duluth Denfeld girls soccer team earned a 5-0 shutout victory over Two Harbors behind a four goal performance from senior Alyssa Doyle. Luci Chastey added a goal and two assists helping the Hunters to their third straight win.

Denfeld (3-1-1) next visits Proctor Thursday, while Two Harbors (1-2) visits Mesabi East Thursday.
