There were plenty of great matchups on the hardwood Saturday, including Hermantown girl’s basketball beating Crookston, 72-40, Hermantown boy’s beating Hibbing 90-73, and Cloquet beating Duluth Marshall 88-68.

Starting with the Hermantown girls, they were off to a quick start, holding a double digit lead within just minutes of the game starting.

They’ll look to extend their win streak to three games against Rock Ridge on Tuesday.

The Hermantown boys were dominant in their win over Hibbing, as the combination of their ball movement and defense was enough to put a stop to Hibbing.

The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday against Bemidji and are searching for their sixth straight win.

Lastly, Cloquet held off Brooks Johnson and Duluth Marshall long enough for the win, as they won on their home court to end the 2024 Lake Superior Conference day.

Cloquet will face Rock Ridge on Tuesday while Duluth Marshall squares up with Barnum on Tuesday.
