After being almost a month after Grandma’s Marathon, Duluth was set and back hosting another race this time it was run and walk as the 59th annual Park Point Five Miler and Two Miler walk to place on Thursday evening.

The winners of the race shared with WDIO how they felt they did with their performances and how they value and appreciate races like this and more. “Good! It was a tough day with the heat. That definitely made it a challenge, but it’s so much fun to be up here running with people you see across the state all summer doing races,” said Marit Ross-Sonnesym, the winner of the Women’s Five Miler.

Daniel Docherty, the Men’s winner mentioned, “It’s a great race up here to support the young athlete’s foundation, and it’s just a great community race; I love it. I love to come up here and support it.”
More than 739 people register for the event.
